IT Strategy Development

As a consultant and then in industry I've always been attracted to change. Change can only be done with a clear strategy laid out in advance. I can help you formulate your IT Strategy around people, process and technology. This includes the how, what and when to execute the strategy.

To enable a business strategy I am best suited to work with a senior business partner to help develop the target state architecture needed to enable the strategy (see Target State Architecture Design)

IT Organizational Design and Operating Models

I've been in senior management for complex, large IT organizations for the last 20 years so I have seen a variety of different IT operating models and organizations.

From networking with many Chief Architects in the industry, as well as independent research, I have a deep understanding of the variety of models of how to structure enterprise architecture teams and what it takes for them to be successful.

Target State Architecture Design

Your exact target state architecture depends on you business needs. Unfortunately, these change. Thus you have to create a target state architecture that allows for change. I can work with your team to develop target state architectures for many purposes

Business Case Development

I've developed 100s of business cases. "What business value are we trying to create with what investment" is EA's bread and butter.

I can help you create (or review) the business case for your major business transformation or key project.

As an architect I'm also very familiar with creating the business case for new, emerging technologies. How to structure experiments, proof of technologies or proof of concepts before investing big.
